You’ll never be asked to cold call or do any sales unless you choose a client that requires it.

đź“ž What kind of work will I be doing?

You’ll be providing customer service for well-known brands in areas such as:

  • Billing inquiries

  • Account management

  • Tech support

  • Data entry

  • Product or service information

You’ll operate as your own micro-call center, working from the comfort of your home. 🙌

🖥️ What equipment do I need?

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

  • A quiet, distraction-free workspace

  • A desktop or laptop computer (must be hard-wired — no Wi-Fi)

  • High-speed internet

  • A USB headset

Most clients allow you to take calls through your computer. If a phone line is required, it will be clearly stated in the job description.

This is not a job — this is a business opportunity. You're building something for YOU, and we’re here to help you do it confidently.

Here’s a simple breakdown of startup costs:

  • âś… Background Check: $30 (one-time fee, required by Arise)

  • âś… Training: FREE (No upfront client training fees!)

Why the background check? You’ll be handling sensitive customer data. Clients want to make sure their customers are in good hands — and you absolutely are!

🤔 What’s the difference between joining Homesource Staffing vs. registering as your own business?

Great question! You have two options:

1. Join Homesource Staffing (Recommended for Most People)

  • Fast & easy setup

  • We handle the paperwork, compliance, and platform requirements

  • You get full support from our team

  • No need to set up an LLC or EIN

  • You're still a 1099 contractor (independent!) — just with extra help đź’›

2. Register as Your Own Sole Proprietor or LLC

  • You’ll go through the entire Arise onboarding process alone

  • You’ll be responsible for managing your own business and compliance

  • No access to our training resources, mentorship, or group communication

  • More complex tax and legal setup

✨ Most people prefer joining us because we handle the details while you focus on getting started and earning!

🎓 How does training work?

All client training is online and unpaid. Think of it as a certification process that prepares you to confidently service your client.

  • Classes are held Monday–Friday

  • You can choose morning, afternoon, or evening sessions (based on availability)

  • Daily class time can range from 2 to 6 hours per day, depending on the client

  • Training is live and attendance is extremely important

📝 Note: While most training is unpaid, some clients offer “Earn While You Learn” programs, meaning you can start taking calls and earning revenue midway through training. This will always be noted in the Opportunity Announcement (OA) when choosing a client.

⏳ How soon can I start working and getting paid?

After you complete your background check and training, you’ll be eligible to start working immediately. Certification typically takes:

  • 5 to 30 days, depending on the client

  • "Earn While You Learn" clients may allow you to start earning after just 2 weeks!

Your start date will depend on the training calendar and the client you select.

đź’° How and when will I get paid?

You’ll be paid twice per month:

  • Around the 15th and last day of the month

  • Direct deposit to your bank account or payment card

We do not issue paper checks to ensure fast, secure delivery of your earnings.

🧾 Will I be responsible for my own taxes?

Yes — as an Independent Contractor (1099), you are responsible for your own taxes. Here’s what to know:

  • We don’t deduct any taxes from your pay

  • You’ll receive a 1099-MISC if you earn $600 or more in a calendar year

  • We recommend working with a tax professional to make filing simple and stress-free
